SNN Morning WEATHER
Good morning, everyone! Meteorologist Eric Kasunich here with the Max Defender weather update.
Are you tired of the cold yet? I know I am. It has been persistently cold for the past few days, and we will have to bear it for a few more days before we see higher temperatures. Current wind chills are in the 30s across the region, and the high is only going to reach 52°F today. With the cold rain in the air and breezy conditions, it will be cold and not very pleasant.
This weekend, we can expect a change. It will be very cold waking up on Saturday morning, but temperatures will increase gradually throughout the day as the warming trend begins. Next week, temperatures are forecasted to be in the mid to high 70s. A high-pressure system will dominate the area, keeping rain chances nonexistent for next week. As this high pressure moves east into the Atlantic Ocean, a southerly wind will prevail, leading to the warm-up. This, combined with a more zonal (less undulating) upper-level flow, is why we will see the warm-up. Until then, keep the coast handy
