SNN Morning weather
Good morning, Suncoast, Meteorologist Eric Kasunich here with the Max Defender weather update.
I hope you all had a great weekend. It was warm! Yesterday them high reached 76°F which is 4°F above the average for this time of year. We also saw some rain come through and accumulated to about 0.28" at SRQ, but it was not a wash out. People were still able to find some periods of no rain to enjoy the nice weather, but it looks like the nice weather is in our rear-view mirror as we gear up to take on this work week.
A cold front came through yesterday which is why we saw those showers. This front is now a stationary front located to our south keeping the cooler air mass over us. So, expect below average temperatures for the rest of the work week. Rain will begin tomorrow and be off and on throughout the day and continue to be rather heavy on Wednesday morning. Wednesday will also be the coldest with only a high of 54°F forecasted. Lighter scattered showers are in store for your Thursday. Friday is when the weather will change on us. The upper level trough that will bring Thursdays rain will scoot out to the east and temperatures will begin warming to above climatic average for the weekend
